How Much Does It Cost to Live In Noida?

Noida, short for the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is a satellite city of Delhi and is part of the National Capital Region of India.

The amount of money you spend in Noida depends solely on your preferences but for a somewhat decent lifestyle you would need around 150$-250$. That includes rent, electricity and food.

Having said that, it is obvious that Noida is a very cheap country, but if you want to live luxuriously, Noida also has a way of showing some fun, expensive times.

RESTAURANTS

As anywhere else in the world, it is definitely cheaper to eat the street food than to go out to restaurants. However, in Noida, even the most fancy restaurants shouldn’t represent a huge luxury. They are usually affordable, though if you’re looking to keep your cost of living in Noida down, stick to the restaurants where you see locals heading off to.

If you don’t live and work in Noida, you might find it a bit expensive to shop for groceries here. If you don’t live nearby metro or Noida expressway, it is going to cost you a lot since Noida doesn’t have a proper public transport. You’ll have to either hail a taxi or drive your own private car (which is a cheaper option). Normal taxi tariff is around 0.70$ while a monthly pass for all existing forms of public transport in Noida is around 15$.

Utilities, for an apartment of a normal size or a bit larger (of about 85m2) cost a bit more than in many other Indian cities, amounting to less than 60$, including electricity, heating, cooling and water. Cell phone services are considerably lower than in most cities as well, while high-speed internet can get a bit pricey, around 13$.

SPORTS & LEISURE

You will have to cash out a bit more money if you want to splurge on sports and fitness activities and pass your time this way. Luckily for you, in Noida, these are very low prices, and most tourists interested in sports will be able to pay for fitness centers that cost about 25$ a month. Renting a tennis court for an hour costs around 13$ in Noida.

CLOTHING & SHOES

When it comes to clothing and shoes, this is something that isn’t quite necessary for any tourist, but if you happen to want to go shopping, Noida is a great place you can do this in. You can find quality jeans like Levi’s for around 35$, dresses and shirts for around 40$, while quality shoes and sneakers cost around 60$.

RENT PER MONTH

Like in most countries, living and renting apartments, studios or houses depends on the neighborhood and the type of living facility you’re renting. And, like everything else, in Noida, regardless of the part of the city, rent is much, much cheaper than in other parts of India. You can expect an apartment for one or two people in the city center to cost up to 160$, while apartments for larger families can cost twice as much and more.
