How the Global Safety Index Scores Are Calculated
Our Global Safety Index evaluates safety across countries and cities using transparent, data-driven metrics.
Each location is assigned a score and color-coded as green (low risk), orange (moderate risk), or red (high risk).
The index is based on multiple key factors:
- Crime Rates – violent and property crime statistics from official sources
- Health & Medical Safety – quality of healthcare, disease risk, and emergency preparedness
- Political Stability & Civil Safety – risk of unrest, corruption, and regulatory reliability
- Transportation & Infrastructure Safety – road safety, public transport, and emergency services
- Environmental Risks – natural disasters, pollution levels, and climate-related hazards
Each factor is weighted according to reliability and global impact. Scores are normalized to ensure comparability across countries and cities.
Note: The Global Safety Index is updated regularly with the latest data to reflect real-world conditions.
